Protecting Mobile Information for First Responders
WideBand GoldKey Tokens
Rugged - Highly Secure - Easy to Use
In the field, first responders are depended upon in life and death situations. They should not need to worry about
keeping the data on their computers from being stolen. WideBand GoldKeys are designed to provide a simple
solution for a very complex issue -- securing data on mobile computers to comply with regulations and keep
sensitive files safe from thieves and hackers.
Relying on passwords alone is no longer an option. Studies suggest that attacks today can crack a Windows
password in an average of 13.6 seconds [1] while surveys confirm that less than 4% of users properly secure their
passwords [2]. WideBand GoldKeys provide an easy way to add two factor authentication - your password
(something you know) and your token plugged in (something you have).
Next Steps
Automatic 256-bit AES Encryption
Files placed within a WideBand GoldKey Secure Drive are automatically encrypted as you use them, providing the
fastest and easiest security possible for your critical data.
• On-the-fly 256-bit AES encryption of all folders and files within the
Secure Drive.
Prevent Data Loss
WideBand GoldKey uses a Hierarchal Key Management System to prevent accidental lockouts or data loss. After
registering to a Master Token, users and administrators never have to worry about losing data due to a forgotten
password or a lost or stolen token.
• When a Secure Drive is locked, the drive letter disappears making files
inaccessible without the correct WideBand GoldKey token and PIN.
• Secure Drives are displayed in Windows Explorer® or Mac Finder®
like any flash drive for quick viewing and access.

Works with Existing Media and Security Systems
WideBand GoldKey Secure Drives can be used in addition to your other security systems, such as passwords, and can
be stored on almost any media. Wherever your data is stored - flash drives, local hard disks, CD-ROMs, network shares,
tape backups - Secure Drives provide strong encryption with the addition of secure multi-factor authentication.
Make Logins More Secure
Windows 7 users can use WideBand GoldKey to implement a multi-factor method of authentication for login that is
much more secure than the traditional user name and password method. In addition to a password, a user must also
insert the physical WideBand GoldKey device to login.
