This month WideBand launched its new line of Enterprise-class Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet Switches as part of its continued expansion in large and critical network solutions. The new Layer 3 Switch line includes 8, 16, and 28-port gigabit copper models, an 8+8 with 8 ports gigabit copper and 8 ports for gigabit fiber, and 24+4 switches with 24-ports of 10/100 and 4-ports of gigabit.      WideBand Corporation recently purchased new manufacturing equipment that will increase the current production capability nearly threefold. Central to this acquisition are two assembly robots (pick and place machines) that automatically place electronic parts on a computer circuit board.
